Did you receive a Care Card?

If so, we hope it brought a smile to your face during this challenging time. We are all in this together!

Conserve It Forward Care Card Volunteers

We are so appreciative of people asking us how they can help with our Care Cards during COVID-19! We quickly put this page together, so you can do card deliveries, too!

Please make sure to follow any CDC guidelines, as well as any additional guidelines local to where you live.

You can learn more at the history of Care Cards on our website. On 4/4/20, we revived the project in response to COVID-19 and by the end of the week, we had delivered 1,000 cards in Tampa.

How to Participate

Helpful Information

Though Care Cards originally went to people in healthcare facilities, right now, we are also targeting workers who are helping keep our society going. You can let them know you are a volunteer calling to find out how many employees they have and that you would like to drop off a pack of cards as a gesture of kindness and gratitude for all they are doing to support the community.

Please be aware that thought most place will accept cards, not all will, so it is important to ask for permission first, especially during the pandemic. Also, businesses are getting asked to give donations in their communities right now, so please be clear why you are calling. If you call during a busy time, they may not understand at first. As long as they know that the cards are FOR them as a thank you, it should be fine!

Card packet assembly

***Each card has plenty of room for you to add your own signature, and we encourage you to do so!***

2) Cut each page in half to get 2 cards per page.

3) Fold each card in half.

4) Package the cards in a box or large envelope. We have found

people love to see the cards right away, so if hand delivering,

make sure you can open the package easily (not too much tape!),

5) Please get photos of you with the cards! Don’t worry about photos during drop off at the businesses. Some have offered and if they do, great, as we love seeing them, but we do not want to bother them. Use your judgment about if it feels right to ask! :)

Call a local business, preferably one you will already be visiting as you follow CDC guidelines, like a grocery store or restaurant. Please note the business name, address, phone number, who you spoke with. Note the date of call and expected delivery, and number of cards needed.

Once your delivery is complete, please REPORT YOUR POSITIVE IMPACT, so we can keep track!

1) Print the cards on cardstock (there are 2 cards per page). We have found light neutrals work best (ivory, white, gray, etc.). Amazon sells a pack of 250 pages for usually less than $9 Prime which you can get at our Amazon affiliate link.

We will try to add more PDF files of the cards so you have a bigger selection, but we are starting with 12 designs for you to use (see under instructions below).

Remember each person gets one card,  so especially if you are delivering to a store with a lot of employees, there will be a lot of duplicates!

Please remember to

REPORT YOUR POSITIVE IMPACT!

Clicking the uppercased words will open an email with preset questions in the body.
